The eBay Store Design Process
We follow a Process in delivering our eBay Store Designs that ensures that delivery is prompt for all our clients and that quality is consistent. Here are the steps:
1) Initial Deposit. We charge a $200 deposit to clients at inception to establish the client account and begin the process.
2) Client Homework. Yes, it’s true: we can’t get started until you do! The initial information we require from you is:
- Copies of all product images you plan to use on the site. (FAQ)
- Written copy you want to be included on each page of the site (FAQ)
- A list of at least 7 and up to 15 websites that you admire or like (FAQ)
- A list of search engine keywords for your store description, category and subcategory names.
Once all this information is complete, we will call you to discuss the store and which services you wish to purchase.
3) 50% Payment. Once we have decided which services you are purchasing we will send you a Paypal Invoice for ½ of the project costs (less the initial deposit). On receipt of funds, site design begins. The process will take about 4 weeks to complete from this point. (FAQ)
4) Presentation of logo design and color scheme. The design process will take about two weeks and will occur in stages. The first stage is the logo design and color scheme. You will be presented with two different logos and two color schemes and asked to select one. The package includes one modification of the selected logo and one adjustment to the color scheme. Additional modifications are available at an hourly rate. (FAQ)
5) Presentation of the Storefront. Once the logo and colors are selected, the storefront design is presented. Again, one modification is included in the package to be sure you like the design. At this time we will also request search engine keywords for all images used in the storefront. (FAQ)
6) Presentation of the Auction Template. The auction template is the last design element of the site and one option will be presented with one modification included.
7) Site Development. Coding of the site begins after the design stage is completed. This stage takes 1 – 2 weeks to complete.
8) 50% Payment. Once coding is complete and we are ready to install your store online, we will invoice you for the remainder of the project fee. Upon receipt of funds, your site will be installed into the eBay template system. We will require your userid and password to complete the installation. (FAQ)
9) Delivery of Auction Template instructions. You will receive written instructions on the use and customization of your Auction Template.
10) Store support. We provide support for 30 days after your store is installed during which time we are happy to answer any questions and resolve any issues you have related to the store design. After the first 30 days, support time is available at an hourly rate.
Lots of steps, right? We do it this way to ensure you know what to expect. We want your involvement along the way and we want you to be proud and excited about your new store so we take the time to get it right.
Communication
You can expect regular progress reports on your project throughout the process. We also welcome all feedback from customers during the project as well as after it is completed. We appreciate it when customers take the time to let us know where we can improve.
